Default GOT ONE = Pass. side hi steer arm hp d44

My steering radius kinda blows with the ford knuckle, so I think I need to put a hi steer arm on to be able to turn around in less than a 10 acre field.

Let me know what you have.

thanks

Not a bad plan, what material should I use???

I would prefer to make my own, except it is sometimes hard to find the time.

i had a chunk of 7/8" plate that i used. i sprayed the steel with primer so i could scribe all the lines on it instead of writing with soap stone. i cut the radius around the ball joint with a 2 1/8" hole saw and the 3 holes for the bolts i drilled bolt size for a snug fit. if you take your time with the layout they are easy to build. i think i have some pics, i will look and post them up.

my knuckle was drilled and tapped by the previous owner so none of my measurements will work for you. it is too bad because laying it out is the hardest part.

Thanks Chad. If I get time or don't find a good deal I'll make one.

I got my arm off ebay as a blem, paid 40 fir it shipped. Then I picked up a 3 foot stick of hardened threaded rod and lock nuts, plus new Conical washers from the a GM dealer.

I was under 60 bucks for it all

Forgot I that I also have the a tap as well for a 20 more, but 80 for it all was a lot better than 80 just for the arm.
