Default 1992 Jaguar FS or Trade

I have a 92 Jaguar XJ6 with 104k miles that I'm looking to trade or sell. I don't know much about it, I picked it up earlier this winter over in MN. I'm told it was a great running and driving car until the PO slid into someone during one of the first snow falls this winter. It has a 24 valve DOHC 4.0 L inline 6, auto trans, and appears to be stock. I put in a used coil, new cap/rotor, new plug wires, and the correct factory Champion plugs, fresh oil, and oil filter. I'm not sure if there is water in the fuel or what but it will start and idle just fine, but when you give it gas it will stumble and miss, but clears up, I'm almost thinking it might be a clogged cat or vacuum line leaks. I've driven it around the block, it seems to drive ok, when you stand on it the old cat will move! The aux. engine oil cooler was damaged so I cut the lines and installed a factory block of plate on the oil filter housing. The aux engine oil cooler was not needed on this motor and in fact in 94 Jaguar didn't offer it, they installed the block of plate on the oil filter housing right from the factory. The PO put new pads and rotors on last summer and besides some surface rust from sitting they look new. The PO also did alot of work on getting all the interior lights and electric items working, everything inside seems to work, power seats, windows, locks, lights, sunroof, but the tape player does not. There is an issue with the switch that only lets the car start in park or neutral, it has been picky lately and requires moving the shifter back and forth or giving it a love tap to start sometimes.

The exterior of the car looks good from a distance :) It was painted not to long ago but it looks like they put bondo over the rust. The paint is bubbling on the lower parts of both front fenders behind the wheels, also on the rear fenders by the bumper. The hood got bent in the accident as well as where the grill mounts. I have a good used factory head light assembly that cost nearly $100 that I will include. I do not have a replacement grill but I've seen them on ebay for between $50 and $100. The tires have decent tread but are weather cracked and the spare in the truck is flat. This would make a great parts car or would be a money maker to part out on eBay, Jag parts seem to go for pretty good money. Or if you like to tinker it would make a great summer car with a little work. The battery is pretty weak and doesn't hold a charge but I can toss my Jeep battery in it to get it going. I would probably advise putting it up on a trailer.

I will consider just about anything in trade. Jeep stuff, mud tires, rims, 4 wheelers, motorcycles, computers... If you have something drop me an email and I'll let you know if i'm interested. I would consider putting some cash in on the deal as well if its something I really want!

I have more pics I can email. Please email me at mcocco78@chartermi.net

$1000 obo or trade
