Default 351W headers

I am trying to find some good headers for my new motor rebuild. I have a 91 F-150, I am putting a 351w in it. I want 1-5/8" tube. The only header I can find for a truck application has that extra emm. tube on the pass side. I don't want that.

My question is, does the 5.0 headers fit? Will it work?

Are you looking for long tube or shorty?

If you are going shorty, your existing Y-pipe should reach and bolt up. If you are going long tube, the 5.0 will bolt up to the engine, but may not drop low enough.

Summit racing shortie headers, I believe are the same as pacesetters. Look em up, also pretty sure long tubes on the 4x4 trucks is a PITA because of the front driveshaft. Most of them will have the emiss tube.

Yeah, I want to stay with shorty headers cause of the PITA factor on a 4X4. Those summit truck headers are only 1-1/2" tube. I'm needing 1-5/8". I guess I'll get the BBK headers and just weld up that emiss tube.

Thanx for the input.

tried this and it wont work unless you plan on building your own dual exhust. your better off finding a set off a truck they have different angles for the collectors.
