I wouldnt sweet it...my wife is not allowed in my garage...the last thing I want is her in there trying to sissify the place...as it stands I'm allowed to drink, cuss, and spit on the floor if I want to, as soon as she enters the door all fun stops, so no women allowed

That's a bit extreme.

I appreciate Bill's response but I'd also like to think a "dedicated" wife makes and delivers iced tea, brings out water/drinks, makes meals, and the list goes on.

Do you wanna trade places with my fiance' for a week or so ?

it is plumbed with one-way valves, so all I have to do is flip on breaker switch for pump #2

Single redundancy on the fuel delivery system, any other backup systems in that space shuttle? Ignition box?

swapping a coil is simple enough. Dual distributors would be badass though.

If I could think of a way to package 2 transmissions, it would have happened lol

FYI- this is where I sourced the switches from. They were the cheapest place I found that didn't have a minimum order.

Did you figure out the redundant P/S pump mount?

nope. I couldn't figure out where to put it. I have to keep all my accesories up high (above the water pump) to clear the links at full stuff. I still think I could swap a whole pump assembly in about 5 minutes though (with a spare pump, bracket and pulley pre assembled). Just unhook 2 lines, remove the belt and remove 4 bolts, then re-assemble.

Well, it starts and idles great. It was kind of a guess using the stock speed density dual port throttle body and buying an aftermarket MAF. Seems to be working fine for now.

Holy crap do those exhaust wraps smoke like a cheech when they are new. I think the neighbors thought my garage was on fire.

So maybe I missed it, or just don't know much about how this set-up will work, but are the gears in the trans reversed or do you have one forward speed and four reverse?

Great job so far Bill, but you should contact this guy ultimatehellhound
when welding and engineering concerns are needed.

Can't wait to see it as a whole. Birch Run, I guess.

Big thanks to the guys at Joint Clutch and Gear in Romulous for becoming my newest sponsor and building my driveshafts. I have used them a lot on the past (both the Romulus and Bay City locations) and always liked their service and attitude.

Every driveshaft joint is a 1410. The carrier bearing is some OEM bearing, no idea what it is from.

Joint Clutch & Gear rocks! I just had a new driveshaft made for the front and my rear shaft shortend. They had them done in less then 24 hours (including paint).
