Default pressing a rear D60 inner hub bearing.

Well the bearing was in pretty bad shape so i replaced it..now looks like the only way for it to go back on is using a press. This would require me to pull the whole axle out form under the jeep and taking it to be done.Anyway i can get the inner passenger side bearing onto the spindle without using a press?
Axle is a 75 gmc dana 60

thanks,
Eric

Bearing should be in the wheel hub held in by a grease seal (just like old school front wheel bearings). It should slide onto the spindle without needing any force.

yeah thats what i figured.Always thought the hib assembly should slide right off when the outer bearing/nut is off the spindle. When i took it off it wouldnt even slide off....so maybe the wrong bearing was in there.

Bearing either rusted or spun and welded itself to the spindle, if you press on the new bearing onto spindle how are you going to press the seal into the hub. Maybe picture would help to understand

It is that easy.

If it's not working that way you need to fix something.

Hope it works for you.
