Default 2500 dodge ram 5.9 slow...

test drove a 2000 ram 2500 ext cab short bed 4x4 5.9 gaser... why was it so dam slow? are they just slow in general or does it maybe have 3.55 gears????????????????????????????

i mean yea im not lookin to break a land speed record but some passing power would be nice

my 01 has 3.50 gears in it. def no rocket, but lots of power for pulling. mines for sale too if your interested as I have no rig to tow.

yea im getting it tmrw, or friday, but deff plannin on kegger mod, and new plenum gasket wile im at it and full tune up, and for now cuttin muffler out and puttin pipe in, and 4.10s and a posi in back if i can scrounge around and get one cheap, thats if it dont already have it, ive only test drove the thing, didnt really do much burnouts, but will know for sure after i buy it

My 01 2500 quad cab has the 5.9, 4.10's, 38" tires and moves pretty good. I would recommend watching the heater core, and change the trans fluid and filter immediately.

got an 01 gasser 5.9 with 4:10's and 38.5's and it moves pretty good. dodge's list there gear ratio right inside the glove box on the white code sticker
