Try a 4.5 in cut off wheel in your circular saw, heard it works great.

Havent tried it yet, learned about it after I built my bumper

I hope your not mounting a winch to a bumper made out of 1/8" steel .....unless your one of those guys that rolls around with an ATV winch mounted on his jeep.

He's actually not being an ass. You asked a question about a very simple procedure and you made it seem you're not ready for the task of building something that is meant to protect you and your vehicle. Seemed like a very logical statement to me.

But to help you with your question. You should tell me what you need and I will cnc cut it for you and you just pick up the perfect, finished parts. No hassle of buying cut off wheels or anything! I have two full 4x8 sheets of 1/8, a sheet of 1/4 and a 5x10 od 3/16 laying around.

Hmm, the frame is made of 1/8" steel... all depends on how its built..completely fabricated from 1/8 sheet with a little 3/16 or 1/4 where the bolts go, if done right, would be fine.

He could have avoided a lot of the questioning if he would have had some pics or said 'how to cut long straight pieces from a large sheet of 1/8' or something.

Honestly, it is one of those questions that sure sounds like: if you have to ask, you probably shouldn't be doing it.

Are you using hot rolled? That tends to warp on its own a lot, in my experience...
