Angry D30 problems/questions

I had my balljoints replaced over the winter (by someone on here) and the grease fitting got broke off the axle joint, thus causing the problem I think.
The axle joint isn't even that old, I replaced it last spring I believe.

Anyways, the axle joint is causing the axle shaft to move around in the housing. I noticed the pinion seal leaking about the same time I started hearing the clicking noise.
I really don't want to pull the whole carrier to replace the seal, I don't have the tools or a place to do it.
Could it be leaking because of the way the axle shaft is moving, or is the seal shot. The seal was replaced a few years ago when I bought the axle.
I checked everything and it feels normal and I hear no bearing noise(except the axle joint).

Heres a video.

the axle shaft would not make the pinion leak .......its very easy to change just pop the yoke off and pry the old seal out and pop the new one in you do not need to pull the carrior

Oh you're funny..
Ice and banked roads upnorth, plus a body lift and heavy cap = roof.
It didn't even roll, it just slowly tipped over on to the roof.

I'm sure he made it sound much worse then what really happened.

Now the real question, should someone with a 2004 pay for full coverage or be an idiot and have nofault?
I don't think its worth saving 20$ a month.

Again. I have none of the tools needed for the job.
I do however have all of the parts minus the inner seal.

He is still being a douche bag over it. He wanted something with more room/power, I guess that worked out as an excuse.

I guess me having a really bad panic attack to the point of not being able to breath and puking several times, having gas all over me and scrapes/bruises doesn't matter.

For all he cares, he would probably be happier if I died.

Sounds good.

If you pause the video at ten seconds you can see the small amount of oil from the axle seal leaking.

I wonder how long it would take if I did both sides and the pinion seal.

The passenger side still has the original spicer joint that came with the one piece shaft I bought, but its still good.

That plastic thing in the picture is not that axle seal... it just stopped stuff from going in there, to change the axle seals you'll need to pull the carrier out, and they are in the pumpkin, and yes your whooped out u joint is prolly causing it to leak, replace it and see if it keeps leaking. The pinion seal would be an easy fix tho

Thats the plan. I think it moving around is causing oil to slip by.

I have an idea of how to replace the seals, you need a special press of some sort correct?

I bought a duralast gold "wheel joint" as they called it and a timken pinion seal.
Good thing the u-joint is under warranty still, I just have to take the old one back and I get my money back.
I should have bought the better one in the first place but oh well.

The inner axle seal isn't leaking now, so it had to be from the axle joint moving the axle shaft around.
