Default Dual Battery xj questions.

Im building a winch front bumper for my heep this weekend. My winch came in the mail last week. I am very electricly inclined so wiring it is not a problem. My question is with the battery isolator. Im putting my own kit together and have been shopping around for an isolator. I have found them from 75 amps all the way up to 250 amps. I think im going to run twin 800ish cca batteries. How large of an isolater do I need. Im looking for people who have actually done this or have seen it done. Thanks

I don't remember the amperage numbers, but I used to be big in the competetion car stereo scene.
I had 3 yellow-tops in my Yukon and I just ran the standard isolator from Napa. I never had an issue. I know that I was running a 250 amp breaker that I could trip in DB drags and never took out the isolator.

Was that isolator connected to Ignition voltage so it would close with the key on or did you have a manual dash switch on it?
