Have you called any of your local gravel pits? I just bought 4 tons of 1x3 on Friday for $50.

Not yet, I have american concrete down the road from me. I should give them a call. I need to raise my driveway in one spot that's way too low.

That's exactly what I had to do. Makes for a very good base if you have soft ground like I did. You may have an issue with the frost laws being enforced right now. I had a friend that got it for me with his 1 ton dump.

asphalt millings work great also and i know they sell them in flint for 8$ a ton

I would probably have them load it onto my trailer if it's an issue, although the guy lives close to me and I see him drive one of their trucks home.

That's what I had them put down for the top on half of my driveway. Works better than the regular stuff. Melts snow faster and there is no "mud" when it's wet/rainy.
