Default 87-93 Diesel vs. Gas Engine Crossmembers

I'm cutting up a 1992 One ton 4x4 Dodge tommorow. It is a 360 Gas truck. My question is this. Is the engine crossmember the same as the engine crossmember in a 87-93 4x4 cummins truck? I've done quite a bit of net research and it looks like it is, but I could not come up with a definative answer.

The reason I ask is that I would like to modify a full crossmember from a 1987-93 Cummins truck for my suburban cummins swap. The truck I got my Cummins motor out of was a 2wd, so I couldn't use it.

Has anyone here directly replaced a gas motor with a cummins motor in a 1987-93 dodge 4x4 truck? Is it as simple as using the pad style mounts on the gasser crossmember? If so, this crossmember should work for me.

Pulled it out today, and it does look like it will work. It is drilled for different mounts, so I assume one set of holes is for the cummins mounts.

they should be the same. chrysler used the 727 and a518 on the first gen cummins wich it the same as the gassers. now if your using a stick trans that could be the problem but i dont think so. the a518 is a 727 with a overdrive unit on the back so they use the same mount. pm blackout on here cade can help you with anything 1st gen cummins.

Thanks, but the question was about the engine crossmember, not the trans crossmember.
