Default 85 bronco issue

I have a 85 bronco-efi 302/AOD trans. problem i'm having is couple of times now i've jumped in bronco, say after going to store or somewhere, and start it and it'll start chugging around 25-30, can't accelerate. I stop, turn it off and then restart it and it's fine, drives fine. Any ideas? I'm guessing fuel issue, but don't understand why it's fine after turning off and restarting.
