2006 Wrangler Unlimited - What's it worth / Any Interest?

A good friend of mine's brother passed away recently. They are looking to sell his 06 Wrangler Unlimited. He was a Harley Guy so it has LOTS O CHROME. It appears to be in very good condition though.
Here are the particulars:
Auto
Dual Tops (soft top never used)
Remote start
Seat covers (original seats never exposed)
Just shy of 60K Mostly freeway
More thank likely has all maintenance records - Dealership maintained

Please let me know what thoughts are on Price. Edmunds is estimating between $16500 and $18k.
Any one interested drop me a line

They should take it in and get it detailed before they put it on the market, make it real pretty inside and out (especially the engine bay).

Edmunds is full of shit. Something is only worth what somebody will actually pay for it. 9-11.5k

I personally hate this stereotype. Everyone knows chrome dont get you home and you can't hid all the oil leaks.

As for the price. high IMO. If you are looking for that much spend some cash and get it clean, professionally clean.

Sorry to hear about your friends misfortune.

I am just stating, he was a Harley Guy, and he loved Chrome....

As for the price, I thought Edmunds was off, that is why I am asking.
It will be cleaned and detailed. These pics were our first look.

16-18k is about right, the used car market has changed a ton in the past three years and prices have gone sky high. this is a very clean very low mileage unlimited that clearly wasn't beat to hell, and not wheeled hard. I bet you will wade through some of this web sights bullshit about how its over priced, reality is prices are going up I bet on e-bay that jeep pulls at least 15-16k. Spring is coming and if they are willing to hold out 30-45 days I bet they get with in 10-15% of Edmunds/blue book

Have you been hitting that crack pipe again before breakfast? Wrangler Unlimiteds fetch a premium, and an unmolested 2006 with 60k on the ticker should be worth more than $15k on the street. They are regularly listed in the $16-18k range.

I'm just saying what I would pay for it. For 16-18k I could buy something a whole lot nicer. There is no way that 06 unlimited is comparable to a 04 -05 quad cab duramax. IMO

Those start with 2004's with 116k for $12k, and more than $15k for a 2005, and the OP shows and 06, so if anything, phittie was proven right and you wrong?

If ya figure that you always get asking price, sure. Figure knock down from asking to an actual sale price, then you count in to the equation that I gave my opinion... That the nice thing about my opinion, is that it is never wrong. I can't have a wrong opinion.

Sorry to bring back an old thread

But the irony is I just sold my 97 Sport and picked up an 04 unlimited with 10950 miles on it.

And to answer the question. Asking price was 18
I got it for 16.

Pretty can be only skin deep. 05/6's came with a changed Oil Pump Drive/Cam Position Sensor assembly that is flawed and can take out camshafts/lifters or worse. Chrysler also supposedly dropped the warr on the drivetrain in 06 to 3/36 from 7/70. Beware.
This is of no concern to you, just the next sap
