Default 2005 Grand Caravan

Is it safe to assume that the engine (3.8) would have to drop out the bottom to be changed?

Cant be much different. about 8 bolts take the wiper/assembly off. take the radiator out and you have lots of room.

I've done 4 motors for 97-01 vans. all came out the top. last one took 2.5hrs to pull by myself, out the top.

Although, I would think that it would have to be dropped rather then pulled.

I've talked to a few salvage yards yesterday and the all say 2004 and 2005 only. And I may have to swap the intake. But even the dealership I call can't tell me what is different about the 2007.

There are several Chrysler minivan forums out there, I have been picking brains for the trans swap I'm doing now. I'm putting a 02 trans in a 96 currently.

FYI, it did fit out out and in thru the top. I did not remove the radiator but i did remove the core support and the passenger side fan. the biggest hang up thou was the water pump. I removed the pump and it gave me a bunch of extra room.
