Are you saying there's a choice?

I usually at least get some small refund....so as annoying as it is, at least I'll get something out of it I suppose.

That is what I use. My taxes historically were very simple. Then investments, 401k rollovers, 529 plans, student loans, marriage, job changes for wife and multiple w2's, own a home, etc.

Mine are still probably rather simple compared to many.

It's not that big of a deal, but it's annoying, why do you think I pulled that silly godless parenting article off facebook and posted it? I needed something to keep me occupied and entertained while entering in all our stuff.

I have my own business and keeping track of expenses and income is a bit of a hassle. It would be so much easier if we could have a flat tax and relieve ourselves of the IRS all together.

I'm too drunk to think about my taxes. Oddly they will be a hassle because I was too........ Does anyone know a good rehab center? Is rehab tax deductible? Can I write off fuel to AA? If I quit drinking I can't write off beer can I? Screw it all these problems are driving me to drinking.

I always feel like I should receive a little appriciation at tax time, since I usually work for free, for the first 3months per year.

Aren't taxes one of those things you should just have the experts do? It might cost $100 - $300 (or more) but I would hope any accountant worth a lick could get more than that back for you vs. if you did them your self. I miss my old tax guy, he was awesome.

I used to do my own when it was simple, once the business came into play I was out! I just dropped my stuff off to the accountant this morning.

Turbo tax really does make it easier. Have your stuff ready and answer the question/input your info and BAM, your done, kinda like that.

How can an accountant get more back for me than I can get back for myself? He's inputting the same information in.

In year's past I've done them on multiple sites myself, then got them done professionally (because I got divorced that year and wanted to make sure I did not screw them up) and it was the same if I recall.

I'm not claiming all sorts of individual deductions, just inputting W2's and a few other forms.
