I like seeing a mix of trails. Tight trails, off camber, whooped, obstacles, mud, rocks and hills for mild to wild vehicles. You'll prolly have alot of people that would like to take their daily driver out, and alot of people with trail only rigs. Cater to both and you'll do the best.

I wouldn't mind camping at an orv park, but the one I go to the most is only about 20 mins from my house. I wouldn't mind Traveling a little farther and camping, but i doubt i would want to take me jeep out multiple days in a row to beat on it. Fishing, swimming and other activities would be nice as well.

Not to undercut yourself, but if you could get a really decent price to get in (depending on what you wanted to do camping, offroading etc) you would probabaly see a lot more people than charging an arm and a leg

I agree with this. I like the camping idea. I think if you could do a small bath house with a couple showers you'd add to the camping profits.

full size rigs only imo.....bikes and atv's mixed with trucks is just asking for accidents.

I'd go a ton seeing as i'm in Oakland County.

No not if the park was in the oakland county area

Trail types?
Alittle bit of everything would be nice. hill climbs sand mud wood trails. everything is good. We just need an somewhere legal to wheel thats not as far away as everything else.

Full size only or cycle and atv's as well?
wouldn't care either way.

Rocks?
not that crazy about them.

Hill climbs?
That would be really nice!!!!

Mud?
This is a must!!!!!
What about location? If it were just outside the Oakland County line, how often do you think you would visit?
If it was that close, my buddys and I would probly go about 3 times a month

Thats AWESOME!!! I have only been to R&V one time but it was great. I will def. make a day trip down to Oakland county to check it out. If its cool my xj and zj buddies will prolly make 3 or 4 trips down there a year. Good luck getting it up and going.

It's actually just barely out of Oakland County in Lapeer County.

Even better! Lapeer is less than an hour away. We make 2 or 3 trips to the mounds every year and its ok but man, some of the holes are just freaking HUGE!. I like the tight trails through the woods (fullsize truck dont turn and are too wide to get through).
How big of a park are you talking here? Friend of mine has 4 acres of woods we put jeep trails in and its a freaking blast. Cant imagine what I would do with 40... or 400 LOL!

Would like to see longer trails with many different obstacles, ones that if you go into them you are committed to getting through them, not just a few things and your out and onto the next short obstacle. Although, this would probably mean there would have to be a route around a stuck truck, and other exits incase of breakage

On site camping?
no, theres hotels for that
Trail types?
a variety of trail types/difficulty, daily driver trails(very few) to medium built (most) to buggy trails (few)
Full size only or cycle and atv's as well?
full size only (if have to allow atv's make some of the hills one way?)
Rocks?
Small rock climbs/descents big rocks arent my thing
Hill climbs?
Love Hill climbs.
Mud?
Like a little mud but not alot, make it able to be driven around

What about location? If it were just outside the Oakland County line, how often do you think you would visit?
Oakland would be double the drive from another offroad park, but im game 2 or 3 times a summer.

I live in White Lake and seeing as bundy hill is the closest park to me at 1.5 hrs O probably would go to a park in oakland county 3 or 4 times a month! I like off camber trails, rock, hill climbs and anything in between. Concrete slabs and tubes are always fun. Anything I can run and beat on my jeep will work.

Would like to see longer trails with many different obstacles also. If its set up anything like the badlands and R&V ull have alot of people interested

I think that by having the park near an urban area is a great idea. As there is nothing around myself in White Lake. This leads to a lot of people wheeling in place that they shouldn't be and giving wheelers a bad name. I've talked to the local police department and they are really cracking down on recreational trespassers. I would bet this park would eliminate the majority of this, which would give us wheelers a better name in the local community.

The park should include,

Separate trails for atvs and trucks

As well different levels of trails ranging from modified to wild

Lots'O'Rocks

A monthly night run would be bad ass too

One more thing you better have an annual pass because I plan on using it

I agree with most everyone's replies. I would also consider camping just to get away. And would attempt to get out there as often as possible since it is close.

how many acre's are you talking? a big plus that a few of the big parks have is hare scrambles and enduro's in there parks. a national runs through twisted trails. this brings alot of riders and money to the parks if you can set up a good trails for them

Still way too early in the process to be able to answer that yet.

1700 ish acres. As of right this minute, it's looking like full size vehicles only. We'll see how it goes. There is definitely potential down the road for bikes and atv's to be in there as well, but they would be completely separate.

For me, if there are tight ATV trails, I want to attempt them in my jeep.
