Default 1966 Lincoln Continental 4 door Suicide - sold

Unmodified 1966 Lincoln Continental. 462 CI V8. Automatic Transmission. Has Climate Control, Floor Mounted Seek, AM/FM radio with front AND rear speakers! Power vent windows, power windows, power locks, I believe 8 way power bench seat up front.

Car needs alot of work. Sold as non-running, but we had it fired up not too long ago. Has a brand new starter and flywheel. Pulled the driveshaft thinking the transmission may have locked up, but no, its one of the brakes of possibly the diff, so its dragging the rear wheel(s). Being sold as-is, and we can't allow attempts by others to start (for risk of "oops, broke it" and walking away) and my father has lost interest in the car, so I'm sure hes not going to put oil in the cylinders, gas in the carb, ect and get it going. I have too many projects of my own.

Was a South Carolina car until mid 80s when my father purchased it, never saw salt, though it seems just time is enough to rust these behind the rear doors and rear fenders. Currently only have ignition key, not sure where trunk one went. Most of the power windows are shot, radio works last time I tried, HVAC operating condition unknown. Have hubcaps. Needs exhaust manifolds back. When running/tuned, the 462 (no, its not a 460) will move the car nicely.

Thanks, I did email with them a link to this ad just before you posted though! Seems to be a good candidate for what they do and they wont have to have it towed far. I think the power vent windows are relatively rare too on a car that is prettymuch optioned out from the start.

Yeah, that would be cooler for family use, dunno about a bunch of dudes in a convertible though. They command 3-6+ x as much money. Watching the top go up/down is a crowd gathering show, however. Contact points, little screw motors, and multiple hydraulics. Chrysler was going to make a 4 door convertible 300 for this new model refresh until the bankruptcy thing.
