I'm sure someone will tell you Bush is behind Obama's failed plan.

So true, but the question I ask is," When is this obama's economy"?
When does he take responsibility for his failed actions?

I personally have taken advantage of the stimulus package in more ways than one. From first time homebuyer credit to Energy Star credits and Green energy saving credits.

And I can honestly say I would not be where I am today if it was not for the Stimulus. (not saying that I am exactly where I want to be) but Im getting there.

For the amount on money spent and debt to all taxpayers created it was a total failure.

I personally haven't "qualified" for shit, so it hasn't helped me at all. I'm one of those fringe people, too poor to be comfortable on my own, too rich to qualify for shit. stuck right in the middle or the upper lower class and lower middle class.

But you still have to pay into a system that you do not qualify to use. What a great program!!

You must be rich and don't deserve anything. Don't tell me you're not rich either. You have a house, car, fancy bike and eat good food.
Fuck you rich man!!

I am here too.

I waited till after the $8k tax credit was expired though and saved way more on my intrest rate than the hand out from duh guberment. Maybe I will have the misses file for all the handouts though. She is technically a single mother who gets $0 in child support from the father of her 2 kids. no I'm not cereal

I thought the 8k first time homebuyers tax credit was a loan you pay back over like 10 years or something?

I think I paid the white people tax last weekend because I went tanning.

Bush's credit was 7ish and it had to be paid back, but you could use it towards the purchase of the house. Obama's was 8, you weren't supposed to be able to put it towards your down payment, but did not need to be paid back.

Once it was over interest rates fell hard. I got mine at 4.5% and I believe they are still falling.

4.5% for 30 years zero down because of "rural development" program.

I got the 8k credit and a 4.5 fixed. I haven't really seen any drop in rates since I bought my house in Dec. of 09.

There is a good chance your credit is better/more established than mine :miff:

B.S if I made 100000000000$ a year and bought house (that was my first house) you get the credit, if you buy energy star rated appliances you get some back, if you do any "green" or energy efficient up grades you get it.

"obviously you need to be a home owner to do some of this"

being rich or poor has nothing to do with it.

and as far as class goes you are just "low class"

that was a joke!!

kerryann that credit is a U.S Tax rebate check that you get back form the fed if you buy a house for the first time (10% back up to 80000$)

it worked out really well for me.

jerome jerome jerome...

you're not wrong, but.

I missed the homebuyers credit because I owned my previous home 1 month into the 3 yr window of not being a home owner

I can't afford appliances, furnace, windows, etc. but luckily I don't need them "yet".

I can't get an EBT card, I can't get help with my medical bills, my utility bills, my free cell phone, (not saying you got those things). I couldn't do cash for clunkers (not that I wanted to, but...), I don't qualify for the earned income credit, etc.

I am in the same class as you, remember, we had the same teacher

I don't like the idea behind the home buyers credit, but I certainly wish I would have qualified for it.
