Well, I am approching my 7th year as a driver in this fine state, and I was able to kill my first deer with my saturn last night. :thumb:
BTW, Saturns are plastic, they don't dent, they shatter.

btw., many saturns have (had?) metal hoods, roofs, and trunk lids. keep that in mind during hail storms, and any attempts to do "hood stands" whilst drunk.
in my 21 years+ years of driving in this state, I've hit 2, but to be fair, the first one I hit, a large buick in front of me took it down, it was struggling to its feet when I crested that hill, and ran over it... I was driving an '85 crx at the time, and it tore the crap out of the underside, with no visible damage to the front clip, etc.
gas tank held 3 fewer gallons due to the GIANT concave dent in it, and most of the exhaust was scattered on the road along with steeming venison parts...
had a bit of an issue with allstate not wanting to believe the story, until they sent an adjuster out, and he smelled the cooked on deer parts on the exhaust manifold, and saw all the hair/blood under the car :tonka:

Nope. It was about 70 yds back and I was not about to go after it. I did call a hunter friend and let him know where it was a he was going to get someone to get it. The hood is metal and it only curled a little, but the headlight is roached, the quarter panel has a hole punched in it, and my emrgency strobe that is built into the headlight is shattered ($70 Bulb ), But that goodness it didn't come through my windshield!!
:thumb: there is something to be thankful for, in most bad happenings/events.
altho, I can't help but think of the deer scene in Tommy boy, anytime someone mentions a deer going through a windshield (never mind that in tommy boy, that's not how the deer ended up in the back seat, I still think of it :tonka: )
BACK WHEN I WAS IN DELTON I WORKED AS A PIZZA GUY IN FARM COUNTRY I HIT 4 IN ONE NIGHT!!!!!! WHEN I HIT MY FIRST ONE WITH MY TACO THE NEXT DAY I ORDERED MY ARB AND IT HAS TAKEN DOWN 17 DEER :naughty: WITH THE ONLY CASUALTYS BEING SEVERAL OFF ROAD LIGHTS :thumb:

I commute between Fenton and Hartland along Fenton road and see quite a few deer. I have yet to hit a deer ever in my 16 years of driving. That being said I probably just jinxed myself and will hit one tomorrow. :sonicjay:

you saw how relatively densely populated my sub is. We routinely get deer in our backyard... the neighbor behind us even tosses old apples out by the bird feeder to feed them.
I'm amazed that grange hall doesn't have a large collection of rotting carcasses from all of the truck traffic, and presumabley large deer populations along it.
*knock wood* so far, I haven't driven under a deer in the miata since I've had it...

Yep, nasty when they go through the windshield. My ex hit one on Rochester road, jump up out of a corn field. The head smashed through the windshield right in front of her face, luckily she was wearing her glasses.
LOL, she limped the car home, pulled into her spot in the garage, and found a dead gutted deer hanging from the rafters in her spot, her dad had shot it earlier that day. She about had a nervous breakdown. LOL...
