Default Tread Wright Tires

I have a Chevy Trailblazer with a 3 inch lift and I am looking at putting some 265/75/16s on in a week or so. I was looking at maybe going with the mtr style. I was wondering if anybody has heard anything good or bad about them?

I know 2 guys that have run them. 1 was a daily driver/tow rig and they have been good to him the last year. The other was on a FJ off road toy and they did him well. Tread has held up well on both.

There is a write up on Ih8pavment.

I have been running a set of the BFG AT copies in 285/75/16 on my Tacoma since July and have put them through about everything and they have performed flawlessly. I highly recommend them. Not sure how the more agressive treads are but I have nothing but good to say about mine. Especially when they were less than half for the BFGs.

Yes, there are other threads too.

Customer had a new set of MTR coppies on BFG casings here last week, 3 of the 4 at least .5" out of round. Very noisey tread pattern for the street.
He called Tread Rite and they are sending him 3 new ones.
If they pull thru that is good customer service.
We will see in a week or so.

Let me know if they pull through. That would make deciding to go with these a little better.

Out of a lot of research (and it was a lot) I did last summer before my purchase, I only found 2 people that had problems with the tires. They were Next Day Aired replacements if I remember right.

I had two sets, I had trouble with one tire, they sent a replacement.
I had tread seperation on one mud tire with the cooper tread, it was my fault completely for driving it while it had debris in it, low pressure, on the freeway. About six by three section flung off and hit a truck next to me. After that it was unbalanced and noisy, surprise surprise. I plugged the hole and ran it another few thousand miles before retiring them.
I will buy them again, no problem at all. I am a little disappointed in the sizes they offer now, but stuff changes over time.

I think I am gonna go with these. Right now I can get 4 - 265/75/16 mtr style load range D for $363 shipped. Pretty good deal I think.

I've used them twice, the A/T tread both times. I got one tire on the 2nd set that shook. They sent a replacement out without issue. They wear great, and wern't all that loud.

Looks like I may purchase a set of the Gaurd Dog MT's. Hell of a price for five tires and only $100 to ship.

How well do these tires where on the street. Is it a softer compound or super hard?

Has anyone ponied up for the Kedge grip?

I was checking into these for my kids XJ, waiting on a couple people to see if they can beat the price. Great looking tire, would like to know if anyone has had issues with them. What rating and size are you looking at? The 267/75/16 is out of stock except E rated

I had a set of the 31 ats with the kedge grip. I had one tire throw off a chunk of tread in the first thousand miles and they replaced it no problem. When my truck got totaled I had put about 12k miles on the tires and they didn't look like they had wore too much. I didn't really notice a difference in traction with the kedge grip, but I had the first gen where it only had the walnut shell and no glass. I had a coupon for them so it ended up being a hair under $400 for 4 tires shipped. If I needed new tires and couldn't find a good deal on a set of used tires, I would buy them again.

looking at a 285/75/16 D, says back ordered 2-3 weeks but I can wait that long if need be.
Did you call them? They may make a load D if you specify.
