Yes, there definitely easier to drive down tight trails! lol. I have always had a Cherokee to wheel, so im used to them, this one just came along as a deal so I had to pursue it. Hope to see a lot more snow at Sno*Blind this year but i dont see that happening....

I will be investigating some other areas to add triangulation for further rigidity. Thanks for the trail-ride numbers. Where did you gather those from? The resultant numbers happen to be fairly close with the original FMVSS 216 regulation for Roof Crush. Now the standard is double that. My concern lies with the 0.25" deflection because even a slight variation in that assumption makes a fairly significant difference in force. All good stuff regardless.
Thanks Devon! Devon has done all of the CAD for this project as well as the tube frame buggy in the mix. I have yet to learn the Catia program well, but will be learning it along the way. Once the rocker pinch weld is welded to the rocker guard tubing as well as the b posts tied into the original B post positions at the base it will be more rigid. Im open to any suggestions as well to better improve the robustness of this design. Looking at a lot of different cages that people have done, most of them aren't very comforting. Most look fairly weak. Again, I am open for suggestions. Thanks,
Curtis

Fully welded the center support and shoulder harness tubing all in on Saturday.
Caped the B posts to tie into the uni-body more.
Mounted the 5pt harness's
Delvin wired rear tail lights and mounted them.
Took off rear bumper and am in the process of fabing a new one up using the same 2x4x.25 tubing as the front.

4-link parts are scheduled for delivery and the last touches on the suspension design are being completed. I'll have Curt add some new pictures tonight or tomorrow.

Sorry for delay.... I have received the rod ends in from Ruff Stuff as well as the 14 Bolt diff Cover and rear disc brake brackets. Still waiting for the axle truss and the Dana 60 Cover..... Some pics of the progress (not much as I had to get another Jeep ready for SnoBlind). After that its game on....

Wired up 2 more 8' lights in the garage so I can see while working on this project...

Also mocked up the rear disc brakes on the 14 bolt. Hope to make some larger progress this weekend.
