Been home for a bit. Sorry we missed the cook out. I was too wet and cold to come back down. We found an old dump and spent most of the day there.

It was a good day. In spite of the rain. I can not believe the amount of trash in such a small area, relative.

Next year I am going to round up some neighborhood kids and bring them up. Good times, good cause.

We did not stay till the end because my kids had activities going on today that I wanted to get in on the last part of.

This was my first trail clean up, I was very surprised with how much garbage there was out in the woods. We had a good time and picked up a lot of tires and other random garbage.

Nice event for sure. So much shit out there, though. For all the talk about 4x4 folks laying waste to the woods, it would seem that it is slovenly locals who are doing substantially more damage of the most needless sort.

Perhaps a fall cleanup to compliment the spring one?

We need to switch areas, the locals have figured out we do this in the spring, and take advantage...

Im afraid if you did that and didnt tell the locals you were switching areas, they would dump in anticipation of Two Trackers coming and the trash would just sit there.

We had this problem around the landfill as well. The locals knew we would pick up whatever they threw around the property, so We finally just put a 40 yard can out. Figure we are going to have to pick it up anyway, the least we can do is have a can for them to use. This was years ago and its since been pulled.

Its a sad part of human nature to take advanatge of others generosity... But what else is there to do on a rainy Saturday but head out and pick up some trash?!
