a mud truck done right doesn't sport a dana 44 with front lift blocks and 44" tires.

a K30 should have a dana 60. Why was the dana 60 tossed out in favor of the dana 44?

Is this a C30, converted to 4wd using a 3/4 ton front axle and a divorced t-case?

Was the door not closed all the way or is the door really that far off on the top?

a mud truck done right is a truck made for playing In The mud that doesn't break down or get stuck regardless of the build sir. Truck was in the process of being pieced apart when I found it. Dana 60 front was already sold. Had a 44 already so I put it on, it handles the game just fine.

Not a c30

yes has lift blocks, plan was to just 4 link it this summer but gotta pay the government their share.

Door sits fine, not shut all the way.

Lifted with blocks and big arched leafs, and a body lift which was on the truck when I bought it. have king coil overs and other parts to start 4 linking it but not gonna include unless it's discussed.

I'm not going to get into a pissing match with you, but a dana 44 on a k30, with front lift blocks is not exactly "done right"

Good luck with the sale.

I know this is an old thread but I been looking for a K30 and happened to run across it. I also ran across this ad on racing junk

http://www.racingjunk.com/category/1...mud-truck.html

....same truck I assume? Several curious things about the ads.
- motor is 468 bb in one ad and 496 in the other
- rear axle is a D60 in one and a D44 in the other
- wheels are swampers in one ad and gumbo mudders in the other
- price is 6 grand in the earliest ad and up to 7 grand in the most recent ad
- earliest ad (racingjunk) shows a pic of the truck painted flat black yet he chose to display the before pic in this later 7 grand ad
*edit - after looking again maybe this pic is the new flat black paint and just doesn't look new in the pic
- reason for selling is stated as needs money for taxes yet it was posted for sale 5 months earlier for cash or trades

Don't get me wrong, it's a sharp looking truck but for both safety and reliability reasons it is certainly not a 1-ton mud truck done right and why if it didn't sell in 3 months on racingjunk for 6 grand is he trying to peddle it to fellow forum members for 7 grand now? Not trying to be a trouble maker but conflicting information and things that just seem odd raise all kinds of flags with me when dealing with someone.

Not to side with him what so ever because you make some good points. But if you look at the pics as far as the tires go they have different tires. From what i can see the pic on here is more recent and after the truck has been used and not washed up. So maybe the price reflects new tires? Either way OP is asking waaayyyyyyyyyyyyy too much money for a ride sporting a dana 44 and lift blocks.

FWIW no way a dana 44 is holding up to a big block and 44 inch tires. My 44 i use to have could not handle 38.5 tires and a 350 doing anything other than flat ground.

I have spit 3 passenger side axle shafts out of my front D44 with a BBC and 40" gumbos on the front.....in 1 year. FB can vouch.

if you dont like it dont look at it and dont buy it, its not ur truck so let it be, its the builders preferance not yours if it doesnt fit your style its not for you, dont bother someone with your BS if you dont agree with how something is done
