I like the stop box idea for PS and mod classes.

How many places to you pay back in PS and Mod. Jason?
Maybe pay back to 5th in PS?

I think that would encourage more people to run and that will bring more people and trucks.

I say leave it the way it is and see whats left at the end of the year. If I can not compete and have a chance I can stay home or spectate. My choice your ball and bat your rules. That said damn Jason your truck ran good. I guess thats the end of my betting against you.

I am guessing it would be hard to pay back 5 places when there are only 5 or 6 entries in a class.

Wow! Who knew there are so many issues.. And a lot of of the same stuff being said.. First off I truly believe that no matter what sport you are in. If you are winning. They will hate on you.. If you change things, the other 50% of the people that are not complaining right now, will be.. This is not always about who has the deepest pockets... I ran damn good last year with a 9.5:1 383.. It was more about the engineering of the vehicle, than it was the motor.. Its a combination of everything. Not one thing.. Jason worked his ass off this winter, as did a lot of other people. And already after the first local run people are bitching.. Its not the guys who are doing good that are ruining it for everybody. Its the cry babies. After a while these guys are gonna say fukc it and stop having the runs all together... They are asking for open suggestions to make things better for the budget racer. And it seems everytime they do, no body can agree on anything... My suggestion is to take a look at the big picture. Its been said many, many times. This is supposed to be fun. And the fun is being taken out of it.

Nobody likes a "Jimmy Johnson" except for young girls, preppy boys, and Sponsors.
Big Boys and their toys, need to be playing at the "Show" not the little league field and vise versa.......otherwise you will always have conflict.

where did these big dogs start running righty where we are now everyone has a choice to build what they want big and bad or low budget we all do this dirty sport because we injoy it!!!!!!!!
with that in mind guys as a track owner we put alot of time in to find solutions the the every changing sport thats what brung out this pro class.
i don't have any problems adding another pro class down the road as long as i no it's going to work first and then adjust as needed as for us at dads i'm paying back and trophies to fourth place in all classes put just keep in mind that the more classes the smaller the classes and less payback and so on if theses classes work this season we will adjust as need to try an fit rigs where they belong we are just getting started with this season so bear with us its not as easy as it sounds to just put on a mudrun and all is well .

as for a low budget class i was think about a 4 and 6 cylinder class any tire, body, factory frames but has to have a4 or 6 init possably a low budget solution for some?? we love this sport becuase it fun for the hole family lets keep it going!!!!!!

I understand that making everyone happy is not going to happen. It never does. He wanted input and suggestions on how to make it a better experience for everyone, and when you do so, you get accused of crying! I don't care if someone else's truck is faster then ours, we do still have fun. I don't want to see the runs come to an end either but odviously there are issues that need to be worked out. Maybe you could have trucks get to one of the runs early, and have an open discussion about all this face to face, and see if some sort of compromise can be made. Just a thought, who know if that work either

Maybe someone would let me run a stop watch or something. Than I can feel important.

I think trucks like Jason's, Bad Company, Twisted too ect, Should run in a class of their own. When you put 35's on those trucks, who can compete? The rules got changed to fit everyone in, but all I see is the rules fit for these high horsepower trucks. The best part of a Mudrun is to see an "underdog" push his truck to the limit and surprise everyone on just how far he can go, even if he is just creeping. The Budget Class, who wants to stop in the middle of the pit if you don't have too? I also see a lot of time being wasted on pulling these trucks back out. And why should the entry fee not be all paid back to the driver's of this class? I wouldn't want to "donate" more money for a class I didn't even run. I agree I have heard a lot of people say they done with mud running all together because of all this rule changing. All I see is that if you don't have $20,000 - $50,000 to pour into a truck then don't bother...Come on guys lets make this sport for everyone, the economy is tough right now, so lets keep talking and fix it...

How does this make it fair for everyone as you stated?

Jasons was the first mud bog I've been to in 20 years. The word I got is, fast trucks with big motors, even the "turd piles" have good running motors, and the event keeps moving at a rapid pace. It lived up to rumor, I was impressed.

I was there as a spectator last weekend, but plan to bring my "turd pile" in June to see how it stacks up.
