Religion, no matter how beneficial to the weak minded who lean on it, is still a crutch.

I am sure a lot of people died of AIDs today so we can lump them all together like the cows that are suspected to have died of disease or the fish who died because the area they were in froze over too early.

Generalizations, No matter how true you think they are, you'll always be just alittle wrong.

The way I see it, Humans are injured beings. We were designed to live with out sin but we are crippled by the weight of it. So yes, Jesus is our Crutch. He helps make it possible to live as though we should. You make it sound like you think we all need to be able to make it in our lives by ourselves. I'm sorry if you really do believe this because you have a hard life ahead of you.

So humans are too frail for reality, and every person is weak minded, and therefore has to delude themselves? Good reasoning. Not ALL humans are weak, we all have hard lives ahead of us in one way or another, some of us are just willing to go through it without having to lie to ourselves.

Thats ok, I have no problem knowing that Christ is my crutch. Because when times get tough I know he has my back. He always has and knowing that only makes things easier.
When you get yourself into a situation and realize your screwed, your screwed, when I get into a situation I know the out come may not be what I want but in the end I'll be ok.
Its ok to aknowledge when you need help and to accept it when offered. People will help but usually want something in return, not Christ, His gift is free.

Jeremiah 12:4 How long will the land lie parched and the grass in every field be withered? Because those who live in it are wicked, the animals and birds have perished.

Delude themselves? Really?

I just had a extremely great evening with people that all "Delude themselves". Some of the most interesting and alive people I know are Christians. IF you didn't know we were Christians you wouldn't think anything different of us. Generalizations are crap.

I never said all humans are weak, I said they are broken. There's a Difference. This indicates alot of what you think about people in general and makes sense to me why you think what you do about Christians.

I'm not lying to my self. I'm being completely honest with my self. Just because the conclusions I have about my self doesn't match up with yours does not mean I'm wrong or lying to my self. Once again, looking past your own perspective can bring you some great wisdom.

I can assure you that you don't function at 100% all the time. Unless, of course, you're assuming that humans have a Duty Cycle.

Maybe it's just me but I know I rarely measure up to what I know I could be. I could be a better husband sometimes, I'm not always perfect. I could be a better employee, but I'm not. That's because I'm constantly fighting the sin in my life. We were made to be perfect. We are not.

What about Dark matter? They say they can measure it and contain it but it's nothing. You can't actually see it. .

I mostly agree. I just take it a step further and accept the things I've witnessed that I can't physically see.

Don't they (we)? The typical human duty cycle seems to be about 66%. 16 hours awake out of each 24.
