Not all, just the ones that turned their backs to save their own skin.

It's not that he's a Christian, it's that he has drawn a line demarking himself from other religions/people. That's ok for you and me but I don't think it's such a great idea for a leader. We need leaders that look out for all that they are responsible for, not just the people in their "club".

Your statement confuses me. Are you in favor of having religious diversity in America or do you feel that if you ain't Christian, you ain't shit?

I just had a thought to all the Christians defending this governor. If you took the exact same scenario but the newly elected governor proclain he's Muslim and all non-Muslims were not his brothers...... is that ok?

So he's giving a speech at a church to a church congregation. He's professing his religion to the congregation just as a minister would. What's the big deal? Another case of making a mountain out of a molehill.

Ummm. I would agree with him. We are not brothers (in the eyes of the "prophet" Mohammed).

What this guy said was taken WAY out of context. He was speaking to a Christian congregation and what he said was just a public expression of his faith. He in now way meant that he would discriminate against non-Christians.

Ok, you've convinced me. If he was only professing his faith to other Christians but he has no bad intent for others, I'm ok with this situation.

Well, when you are elected to an office, you KNOW everything you say will be under a microscope. So he should know better to chose his words carefully. It really is a rookie mistake. First day on the job and all...

So what your saying is since we know that everything you say, as an elected polictician, will be under a mocroscope, that he shouldn't have said this?

true non muslims would not be his brothers and the muslim would not want you to be his brother because if you are not a muslim then you are the infedel. His enemy.
The whole brother thing was meant for Christians as "brothers and sisters in Christ"
Just like you have brothers and sisters in your immediate family, Christian believers have brothers and sisters in Christ because they have the same purpose in mind, Jesus Christ.

He actually was asking others to be his brother or sister. Kind of like an alter call.
