Default 1981 Scrambler---Gauging interest..Price??

I'm looking to get an idea of what my Scrambler Project is worth. The PO told me the Jeep had been built for mud bog racing. Not sure what was done to the motor, trans or axles. I torched off both box sides and cut my own to replace them, making the wheel well lower, the box sides were trashed. A pic shows the Diamond plate I used to make the new wells and reinforce the bed. I wish I would have taken more time to weld on the box sides becuase I could have done a better job but I just wanted to trail ride and wheel it at the time. A new body is out of my budget right now because I've got a new money pit.....a house. I might consider selling or parting the Jeep to purchase materials to finish the place.

1981 Jeep CJ8 Scrambler
63,423 miles
AMC 304 W/ Headers and Dual exhaust Edlebrock Carb
Automatic Trans
D300 T-Case
D30 Front
AMC 20 Rear

BDS 3'' Body lift
BDS Shackles
JKS Quick Disconnects
5-33x12.5R15 ProComp tires on ProComp Wheels

I do have a set of Corbeu Seats http://www.corbeau.com/products/susp...seats/baja_jp/
and 5 point harnesses for both. Would be sold with Jeep or seperatly.

Needs floor pans, D and P side as well as other cosmetic work.

Does it run & drive well? How's the frame? 1-pc. axle shafts in the rear? You may want to consider posting on cj-8.com for feedback, as well.

My personal opinion is that the body alone isn't worth much if anything (I have had my fair share of Scramblers, and parted several out, as well). It may be worth something as a trade for someone who wants a project. If the frame is solid, you may be able to get a decent amount for it, but it'll vary greatly on the condition. Extra photos from underneath the Jeep would help.
