So.... any good 6.0L techs in here, that have a hoist?

Thinking about making the leap.... But as soon as I get the truck I would be putting a ton of parts on it, including studs which would require a hoist.... willing to pay cash of course.

Nevermind, after a little pep talk I'll be tackling this on my own once the snow melts.

I have heard from quite a few people it can be done either way, it's the techs preference. I think book time for cab removal is like 2 hours.

I'm trying to decide if i want to do my oil cooler myself. I just hate working on DD's, they're out of comission for too long.

I have heard of pulling the motor, or pulling the cab. I have never heard of someone doing a head job with the shortblock still in the chassis and the cab on. That sounds miserable, and I bet my back would hate me crawling around and working on a 6.0 while it is still in the chassis.

this is the kit I would get

most people run the redesigned ford oil cooler.

Are you sure you don't mean the remote coolant filter? It looks like a remote oil filter setup.
