some progress....got some sweet parts from Jimmy at EORP (Extreme Off Road Parts) for my steering.....getting closer..

Very true. Havnt watched tv since i bought my house 2 months ago. Be getting alot more done on the truck and garage

still working when i can......brought it to work to weigh the front and rear for the coil springs......mid summer finish?

Its Krylon "True Blue"....their Rustoleum version, it was a good color (I tried a half dozen other brands and shades)....I figure I'm sure i forgot many things that will need to be welded and i will scratch it quickly on the trail, so i can always get a touch up bottle from any hardware or car parts store....

They are out of a unimog 419, the SEE model, it had a loader on the front and a backhoe on the rear, they were rated at 4 1/4 ton, they have disc brakes, 1 3/4" axle shafts, air lockers, portal boxes with straight cut gears, and are 6:52 gears overall. They have 20" rims and they only weigh roughly 650lbs......they are significantly beefier than the 404 model
