In Mike's version of the USA we'd still be part of England.

Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me. How true it was in great school and how awesome it still holds the same truth in 2011.

So if she would have used golf balls instead of cross hairs, and then said, "Don't retreat, use a mulligan" and a political person was killed with a golf cart would this debate still be going on?

Probably not. But as well all know where Democrats stand with guns, this is just more fuel for their pile of burning bullshit of anti-gun agendas.

Please explain to me who gets to decide what is violent rhetoric and what is an opposing opinion.

I am sure if you leave it to the government anything that opposes their beliefs is going to fall under the violent rhetoric category.

For Palin to even be brought into this is foolish. It just shows the left will do or say anything, true or not, to make the right look bad.

To me, there doesn't need to be anybody to "decide" what violent rhetoric is, because that would only be necessary if there was to be some form of punishment for it, which I'm not advocating. I'm just saying that people should take responsibility for their actions and think about what they are saying before they say it.

I see and hear a lot of of violent language out in the political realm and I've seen a lot of violence perpetrated in the name of "certain worldviews". I think the violent talk helps ramp up people towards that violence. Hell, George Ailes, has issued a statement to the Fox employees to "shut up, tone it down".

I think I'm just going to bow out of the conversation because I feel like I'm just repeating myself.

So who needs to take responsibility for their actions in this instance? Who should think about what they are saying before they say it? Exactly what was said that caused this?

Obama did a great job as president last night. He mentioned political rhetoric, which was good, because it started with the left. But I don't think they heard him because I watched fox news and did not hear anything about attacks toward the left but then tuned into msnbc and all I could hear was attacks toward palin and blaming the right. But I'm sure the political left had ear plugs in and did not hear a word obama said.

I wonder how long it is going to take for the ACLU to get after the president for his speech, because he did cross that line. They mentioned God, Jesus Christ and read scripture from the bible. But I hear crickets........

I thought it was great, but I wish they would govern as they spoke.

This writer summed it up quite well when he talked about liberalism's ugly face. Liberals should not condon this type of behaviour from the left wing media, which I believe it fuels these actions along with the politicians that jump at the opportunity to attack thier opponent.
I suppose Raum Imanual said it best, lets not waste a good tragety.

Obama might as well have dropped his pants and shit on the victims families during that speech, same as turning the whole memorial into a campaign rally. The only reason the speech sounded "good" is because he got a new speech writer. Anybody notice he couldn't finish an entire sentence without reading from "his" speech?
