not looking to add any monster subs in the truck. looking to replace the stock speakers with something that sounds better. after 3/4 or so they start to crack and i like to rock!

looking to upgrade the stero completely in the truck what have you guys had good luck with? i have a bazooka bass tube i may put in the back since its not to crazy and rerely fill the back seat up with people.

what head units are good in the cummins?

I have the stock infinity in my V10, works good for me. As for a head unit, I have a dual from wal*mart, has the HD, bluetooth, and Ipod (usb) control. The remote controls the ipod, and also will dial the phone. Oh, it also plays c.d.s, but I don't think I have ever used it. IIRC it was like $140.

now that i think about it i dont have stock speakers in it. but they are still sounding like shit. i know i have kenwood in one of the doors. i dont remember if its the front or rear doors on the truck. i do know that both sets of speakers are after market. would a better head unit produce a better sound out of the speakers? is there a good install kit that wont make the radio have that stuiped looking little shelf under it that makes it look out of place?

a better deck would prob make them sound better but most decks only put out about 60 watts peak per ch. your best bet would be to get a small 400 watt 4 ch amp to power your door speakers
