Default The Riot Monkey, an 86 4runner.

I just picked this up today, pretty solid, the only crappy part is the IFS.
9" Lift
36.5's
22r motor converted to a 22re
5spd.

probably just gonna do some simple stuff to it now, and wheel the shoooot out of it.

Here's a teaser shot, i'll have it in the shop tmrw and snap some better pictures.

Thanks guys.

Heres some more pictures.

bumper looks real stout, gonna weld some D-rings on tmrw.

Yeah, thats wood paneling on the doors. Ive had some torn opinions on the door panels, leave 'em or keep them?

Engine bay looks pretty clean.

Tmrw, im gonna throw some fresh gas & sea foam in it. Put some new battery cable ends on it, put a new air filter in it, Vacum out all the interior... & and weld up some rear and front tow points.

The battery wasnt holding a charge very well today, so im hoping the new cable ends and a full charge will solve that. plus we'll be testing the altenator tmrw.
She was also pretty boggy when climbing a snow bank, dont know if thats lack of good gas (she's pretty low) or what. we'll see tmrw.

Might test her out this weekend. We'll see.

Put the couple little things on it, and ran it threw the diagnostics system, and everything checks out good.

Tmrw is some good cleaning, and maybe some tow points and a front bumper.

The testing possibly comes sunday/monday.

I might be giving you guys a call...
can you get parts for t-100's?

..and the body, its not a big deal, its gonna get beat up anyways.

Were gonna paint it next week, mid-body line down will be black bedliner, and above will be red. then the whole bottom will be undercoated.

Also gonna got the rusty rockers out, replace with tubing, and run sheetmetal down to the frame, for some rock sliders.

also, interior will be gutted (Carpet) and herculined.

if you dont like the paneling on the doors you could use them for templates and make them out of some thin sheetmetal, just my 2 cents,

Update:

Took her for a test drive, went about a mile and lost the clutch (slave cylinder, fixing it tmrw)
and a wicked noise coming from it in 4x4 only, its one helluva a clunking, but doesnt have a rythem... but gets worse when you put stress on the 4x4...

any ideas on what that could be?

(this is for sale, also. make an offer? ha)

just get a toyota front axle if it doesnt sell. It would be better than the 10b and still is a toyota part. makes drive shafts easier.
you want 4.88 gears or better but if you have 4.10 they will do alright offraod just not to much fun on road.
