So my buddy gave me a Matco mig welder because it doesn't work and he just bought a new Miller. Anyways, I open it up and start looking around. I have no idea what I'm looking at, just seeing if anything pops out at me and something did. There are wires that run from the center of the rectifier "hub" and attaches to the plates. One of those wires were no longer connected to the one plate. So I tried to resolder it, but when I plugged it in and turned it on it blew that wire off again. The welder will turn on with it not connected and the wire feed will work but nothing else. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction? Thanks
