Default Where to go?

I've been on most of the "seasonal roads" and some of the ORV trails in my area but I'm looking for longer and more challenging trails. Where do I look or who do I need to talk to? One of the local shops have a good group of wheelers but they never get out. they are workin too much. help me please!

I'm in traverse city. I used to live in Colorado though and I got spoiled with all the trails there. I'm looking for 3+ rated trails (moderate to difficult). Driving isn't a problem if I can make a weekend of it. Most of the time I want to find "day trip" distances. Does that make sense? sometimes I only make sense to myself...but the voices in my head don't agree.

Go back to Colorado! Trails in Michigan suck! The state doesn't want 4x4's! Try Black Mountian Rec. Park in KY.

I feel Ya'. I grew up in Colorado and never knew how good I had it untill I moved here. Work, or so they call it, was the reason for the move. Wheelin' might be the reason I move back.

There isn't much land open at all thanks to the liberal views of the state DNR, and the people who abused their right to be there. The UP is pretty good, but still not real challenging. The mud gets old pretty fast. The mounds is fun for about an hour, if you stick to the atv trails. Kentucky, Tennessee, Illinois and Indiana have good off road "parks" but it's just not the same.

Michigan
