Just put the t case into low and use 3rd, 4th and 5th

Any chance to get a similar event going on down further south at Mt Holly? Id for sure be there if it was closer

You are pretty funny. I have an "OLD" beater jeep. My trany ends at 3rd gear ain't no 4 and 5 here.

Mt Holly probably is not much closer for me.

cant wait for this event!!! what ever the format. if people wanna cheat they will, its tuff to police em. its all in fun. i do like the fact you can choose who you race, ie buddies smack talkers whatever. let the hill decide! so far sounds like the problem areas are being addresses. i like limiting stock class to orig. brand engine and cylinder count.

I though they were going to change up the classes this year? I'm not going to enter if i have to go up against a jeep with a built v8 and cut boggers in the 32 to 35 class.

I will not be going again this year because of the way the stock class is setup.

Yeah the lift just makes it top heavy, i didnt know if you could have a lift or lockers in the stock class? I got an aussie and lockrite lunch box locker. motor only has bolt on parts.

So i can run any DOT approved tire? Even 31 15.50 terra tires like these http://www.dune-buggy.com/buggytalk/...i?read=112388? Doesn't seem fair if i went against a truely stock jeep with all-terrains

bad ass tires, the guy that came with those tires came to win! but at least the HP would be more even, sounded like HP was the problem.
Fair in raceing mmmmm bigger is not allways better, fast can be slow, but if you ain't first your last
good luck!

i might come back again when they make some classes that are more realistic, but not wasting my money this year. I would be all over it if they had an v6/i6 31 to 35ish tire class.

Where else can you go and run up a ski hill for $20. I think you guys are asking for to many class's. How aboput 31", 35", 38", and 44" class's in 4 cyl., 6 cyl., 8 cyl. and than maybe cut tire class in all those too. Shoot if they spread it out far enough there could maybe be enough different class's so everyone could have there own class. It is a fun run not like you are going to get rich and believe it or not there were alot of those 35" cut tire guys that had hard luck the last two years. Ya I know all the arguments I been doing this 4 wheel drive racing for many years but give the promoter some credit. He spends LOTS of time getting this shit ready and he could just walk away and leave it the way it was the last 10 or 12 years before he started these again. There were no snow hill climbs than. Go there race, have a good time, drink a few toddys afterwards. Enjoy the show. It is only $20 unless you have my drive and a 3 nights in a motel. We will have a good time though. And if all else fails I suspect myself and a bunch of guys that I come with will get DRUUUNNNNKKKKK. I say Thanks Griz.

i can go up my local ski hill for free, does that count? I have to drive 350 miles one way to come to this event. $20 plus $100 in gas. I'm sorry you have SOOO much experience in racing. 450 motocross class is even, its all about the rider. I don't race my 450f against any 125 2-strokes. i never said anything bad about the promoters, i've been there and watched them race, its fun for the spectators and the racers. I'm glad you felt the need to chime in though, you deserve a standing ovation

Climbing the local hill sounds like fun to me. Is it open to everyone? Never said I knew anything about motor cycle racing. Been running mud for a while now though and the rules there are alot like the hill climb rules. 6 cylinders race against V-8's with cut tires. Never asked for a standing ovation but just like your opinion we all have one. You expressed yours and I mine. Lets just agree to disagree. I will probably be there and very well might lose. Nothing new about that been there lost before. Win a few lose a few. I do know that it is almost impossible to define a "stock" truck or jeep.

One other note. to the group of guys that walked away with my banners last year. I can't blame you for wanting them, I understand the temptation and I'm sure you have enjoyed them, but please bring them back...... thats it.

I will prob go with DMC jeep and race my 4.3 stock motor jeep with 39s on it and get my ass handed to me. I will have a blast though and may win if some hi HP rigs have issues like seems to happen a lot. Do like the rules don't go, an STFU! I have seen it one to many times, get a good run going people nit pic, promoter says F it and quits putting it on all together.

Thanks Grizz!
