I had a great time with that van! Somewhere I have pictures of it buried in a water hole at the dunes with a very LARGE group of people watching us trying to get it out. those were the GOOD OLD DAYS!!!

Old school vans are the tits, my buddy in high school had a '79 GMC Vandura short wheel base. Damn near passed the turn before you had to turn.

I met Donn Collins in 1994, my only trip to TQ since 1995 was the last year for it. 1994 was when I was introduced to any type of organized wheeling, I was ready to go to TQ in 1995 but rolled my truck on teh freeway coming home from silver lake at Labor Day. Didn't bother going, but had I know it was the last TQ I would have tagged along with people I knew going.

I need to dig out my old pics, but they would all be around that time, not older. I do have some pics of me on the dunes, but it was around 1990 at earliest.

Best thread I have read through in a while! The saying, " I forgot more about wheeling than you know" seems fitting. I noticed most of the dates on the pictures are older than me, and I'm 31... Mad respect for the old guys!

Sweet pics. Its nice to see how a simple lift, some big tires and maybe a bigger motor can get you so far and how much fun you can have. No a days everything has to be so complicated and hi-tech. A build thread back then would of been 1 pg at most!!!!

that was a pathfinder conversion that I actually bought of the Chevy dealer's lot new. It took a beating and always had room for friends and a cooler!

Thought I'd bring this thread back from the dead seeing I have my dad's photo book from all his Old wheeling pics..

Here's is a pic of my dad's first Jeep in the News Paper. And kinda shows where my roots in wheeling come from.

Who is that towing two jeeps behind a van....WOW thats great.

This thread is full of win by the way!!!! Love seeing old pics.
