Got a call a little bit ago........Tom took the heep for a test ride and she holds first gear just fine now and squaks the 40's pretty damn hard from 1st -2nd in 4lo. So the shift kit install seems to have been a success. Thanks yet again Tom!!

Jeep is at Toms right now, he is pretty sure its the limiter in the computer not a sensor.
So, what was the fix for this?

Only could talk to Tom for a minute when he called, I was at work. The shift kit and switch he put in fixed the shift issue, his computer was broken, has a friend bringing his over, so that will see if the switch is working perfectly and i'm hoping be able to see the speed limiter setting. I didn't have time to get all the details if when he test drove it after install if the motor still got shut down. Waiting to hear the myself.......Also have an email out to Howell EFI......but heard Troy is on vaca right now.

Got an email back from Troy. The computer setting needs to be adjusted. The speed limiter is now set at 157, it needs to be set to 225 so it doesn't see it.

Anyone have a computer with the GM program that can change that?? If not i'll just send it back to him to adjust.

It does seem strange, in 2 or 4hi it's fine. 4lo reads things a bit differently I guess. I don't question the computer guru, just do as i'm told

If you look at your speedo when in 4lo you will see it is WAY up there. I am not sure why this is, but it is typical of these set-ups; I think I have mine set for 200. I have an HP Tuner, but you would need to buy credits. Since the guy that did your tune already bought/used credits on yours it's probably best to have him do the adjustments.

No speedo in my jeep. But i'm sure I will end up sending it to him. Trust his work.

bump stops for the front, air shocks for the rear. changing the rear 60 to 35 spline. Got some new limiter straps that need to be put on the rear still (thanks innerairlock!) I think that's it for now. fuel cell over the winter. Oh, and tube doors. Those are hopefully in the works right now.

What's up with yours?

Benny's still wondering what a muffler is.

Becky, glad it's running good. Did you get any good info for me this weekend?
