Benny87 used factory 5.3L manifolds (same as 6.0L) on his TJ and made it work just fine.... Until he had heat issues and swapped them out for direct fit shorties.

Mine is a YJ & I used the manifolds. Benny's is a TJ and he used the manifolds.

Becky,
If you run into spots you have to thrift to stay within your budget, I think I may be able to lend a hand with the wiring and calibration on your LS. It all depends if I can find the base files to work with.

Computer should work, but it will need a different calibration with all of the auto trans interfaces correctly calibrated. The person you find to give you a tune should be able to do this if they're worth their salt.

Pretty sure it's just a setting (like 1 for auto, 2 for manual), calibrations are already in there for either way. I would need to open my tuner up to know for sure.

Whoever does your tune won't have an issue with it, and the 4.8/5.3/6.0computers are interchangable. If there are slight differences (fuel mapping, etc.) they won't matter. I have used both a 4.8 and a 5.3 computer with no noticable difference. You will end up taking it for a dynotune anyway and anything that might be different will get adjusted properly...

For what its worth, current pricing from Jim's Performance on that stuff is $350 to do the harness as a pared down/stand alone, and $200 for the tuning/tailoring to your system.

my harness and ECU went out last week.
