Much better to be able to have someone local work on it.

If you're tired of the jeep, I'll come pick it up tonight. I think I've got an extra $150 sitting around here somewhere.

Yes there is.....because the money I was going to spend for the weekend is now being spent on yet again fixing the computer and tuning. The local guy is a little more expensive. Hopefully worth it.

Thank you Tom for taking the time to come out and help !!!

Trans shifts fine, definitly a computer AND harnass issue. (Tell me how happy I am ) Was a nice 10 minute 1/4 mile drive back down my street with the motor loading up and not wanting to go anywhere. But at least we know it's not the trans or motor.

ok so recap.... jeep is fixed, just need a new deck for tunes, and not going to blessing as spent it on fixing the harness cpu issue yet again, but got to take a real test drive for the first time since it was done two weeks ago and has been to the badlands already, (thus we know it rides great on the trailer) is that about it? oh and that you are happy!

It's not fixed yet, Tom's going to work his majic then I have to take it down to Troy in Marine City for the computer/tuning part. THEN......HOPEFULLY!!!!.......It will be all set.

You must have missed this post. Also, Tom did some homework as well and found the same information. Not ONLY is it the computer but Tom has to change a few wires on the harnass as well. So while i'm happy noone else had issues with Jimsperformance, I have nothing good to say about his work. Customer service and personality??? Yes, top notch. The job he did for me?? Twice......... Horrible.

Also, the MAS is brand new and it's Delco, not aftermarket. We swapped it out with a diff one at Badlands to be positive. No fix. Ran it without it...no fix.

I wasn't aware that propane injection could shift transmissions..........hmmmmm I say go propane injection

99+4L80e is designed for the pcm OS your using, just sayin. Pretty unfair to blame Jim for your lack of research before sourcing parts IMO.

First computer he sent to me did not have a driver for drive by cable. All he had to do was open the case and look, he admitted he didn't. HIS FAULT

2nd computer may work for a newer 4l80E but NOT for a 93 or older. ( my 4l80 is a 93)I know when I talked to him I told him what everything was and what years.

ALSO....Kevin had to add wires to the harnass that Jim left off AND Tom has to change a few of them as well.
I paid Jim to do the job and gave him the info on what I was running, I absolutely put it in his lap. I paid the man to do the job because I can't. It's not like he messed up 1 thing. The entire job was botched. If I pay someone to do a job it is then THEIR responsabilty to do the research. NOT MINE. I commend his customer service, always have.....and I realize others sing his praises.........but I will NOT take the blame for lack of research when that's what i paid someone else to do. So you can take your high and mighty comments and get the fukc out of my build thread.

Gotta agree with all this. I would be in the same boat.
I look at all the advice that has been given here by several what I would call knowledgable people and it hasn't all matched.
