Nothing special, running the stock pan for now, will see how the pressure is this weekend, if it's an issue I will upgrade.

FYI, look at our Moab trip. I never lost oil pressure on any of those inclines using my stock corvette pan. And quite frankly, I don't want to get any steeper.

You will note in one of the early pics I stated that I found the point where I lost oil pressure. Come to find out, I was a pint low.

Do you know which vette pan you have, Jim? Its the C6 LS2 pan? Not a C5 batwing....

I think I will use that also.

02 sensor issue is this.....sensors are the square plugs, harness has the triangular plug. He will figure it out, either new sensors or swap the harness piece.

And there were two types of square plugs too, one for 05, one for 06/07.

If you swap the plugs, do NOT solder and heat shrink them. If you must splice, you a crimp connector. You need to have oxygen to be able to travel in the line..

ok. trying to help becky finish this thing without having to spend a bunch more cash. all it needs is o2 sensors. heres the problem, the wire harness we are using is from an 05. it has a triangular shaped plug for the o2 sensors. they are both the same. in the box of parts she got with the motor was some foot long peices of down pipes that look like they bolt on the exhaust manifolds. they both have o2 sensors in them. they are square plug ins. one has a female plug on it and the other has a male plug on it. they will plug into each other. just went and looked at a harness my buddy has and was gonna steal the plug ins off from, but it has male plug ins for all 4 o2 sensors pre and post cat. not sure how she has a male and female sensor? starting to think these sensors arn't even for an ls motor? probably be best just to buy 2 new ones that fit the current harness?

wat? you do not need oxygen to travel through the insulation...I have changed ends on O2 sensors and soldered and heat shirked them with no problems

So the problem is the sensors themselves or the harness connector? Harness has original o2 plugs right... so then I would say just buy 2 new ones that match the harness. right?

I would just get new ones, who knows if the others are even any good and if they are bad can really make those motors run bad.

It's not a weekend stopper. She can run open loop and all that will happen is she will probably run rich.
