I sat outside his place for an hour waiting for him to show up......... when he did, he seemed hung over. He took longer to do the job and it was a shitty one when he was done. (no, not on this jeep)

Ordered gauges from Speedway and have Bill getting the correct dipstick......I do believe that is the end of my parts list until I get her home for exhaust.

Lesson learned ***** when doing a motor swap get the motor, tranny and computer from the same donor vehicle. Holy shit did the misc. bs we had to hunt down add up. Thank God Kevin is a patient guy!!!

Next year, back on 42's, air shocks, fuel cell and the back axle to 35 spline. Done this year unless something breaks or I win the lottery.

Just got a text from Kevin....." vroom vroom....started the jeep 2 more times last night just cuz I could. lol"

gotta love him!

I spent a small fortune on hardware to put mine all together too; even all of my accessories came separate. No hardware for anything. The best thing would be to have a donor vehicle, then you would have everything.

Yeah, I have probably spend twice the cost of the motor on my misc stuff.

I just did my oil pressure sender last night, I drilled and tapped the boss on the oil bypass cap by the filter.

I'm trying to figure out the water temp sender now. The head has a plug on the passenger side for a sender, its M12 x 1.5, which I can't get that sender for my gauges, only 1/8, 1/4 or 3/8 NPT. There is an adapter for M12 to 1/8NPT but its bore is too small to fit the sender. I drilled it out as much as I was comfortable, and turned down the sender, but ruined the sender before I could get it to fit nicely. Going to try to turn down and rethread my 3/8npt sender to fit.

Uh.... Montey's has not been in business for years. It's now Barry's Ace Maintenance. He does a good job and actually has done quite a bit for me and also bends pipe for us at work.

BUT... for something like this I'd prefer to have it done without a "pipe bender" where the bends get "crimped" and restrict flow. Muffler Man on Scott Lake down the road from you has done good work for me in the past with smoother bends than a pipe bender.

They did the exhaust on my old 69 Camaro decades ago, no issues at all. Thanks for the heads up Ryan, can't get more local then walking distance didn't even think to check with them for some reason on me!

Front end all went back on. Radiator brackets will need some welding. Radiator barely fits under the hood, so going with no surge tank and plumbing the steam hose into radiator.

Got the heater hoses and parts to make my driveshafts work.

Back end all put back together, throttle cable on, and built a cable bracket for the motor end.

Gauges are supposed to be delivered today.

Where have you been? When installing a Chevy motor in a jeep, the driveshaft capacitors need to have extra coolant.
