Not gonna make it either Corey. Will be in the garage with Kevin figuring out placement of shifters tho. If all goes well should be running by then too, just lots of little thing to button up at that point. It's gettin there

What are you doing for transmission lines? I am tired of my seeping/dripping lines and I am curious what you are doing and what others have done.

Have a question for you guys.......

How is everyone running the return fuel lines when using a stock TJ gastank? The tank has no spot for a return line.

Do we just get a fitting and drill a hole in top of the tank?

I have flared fittings at the trans and hose barbs at the trans cooler. Yeah, you need to tighten them time to time.

Sort of. you need to pull the plate that holds the pump and pickup. Drill a hole through it with bulkhead fittings, then put a tube almost to the bottom. This way the returning fuel doesn't splatter around and make noise/turbulance. Under the plate but at the top of the tube you drill a small (small as possible) hole for anti siphon.

What are the flared fittings? Where do you get them?

X2 on the fuel return location, but I let mine splash around; so far so good.

I have a TH350 trans that has a flared fitting on each port. (out and return) A standard flared bundy tube bolts right up. Then use a fitting at the other end that adapts to a barbed fitting, attach short section of hose and you are done. Go to your local auto parts where they have the rack of pre-flared brake lines. Get the 5/16 or 3/8 size.

The TH350 and 4L60e should both be 1/4 in.-18 NPSM with straight threads. Maybe some early TH350s were tapered.

THe factory jobs on Jim's trans go from the straight pipe thread to a flare fitting. You can get them to go to AN lines also...

Yes Roger it RUNS!!!!

After all the issues this swap has had it finally runs. Started up extremely easy. Now it's just a matter of putting the little pieces back together and final touches.

Figured out where the shifter needs to be, although Kevin will be changing the handle to about twice the length. Gauges will be placed where the ashtray and old ARB switches are and an engine skid will be added so I don't do a repeat of last labor day...

Going to run dual exhaust......need to find a shop or someone who does a great job at that somewhat local to me. Anyone???

Can't wait to bring her home
