That is a SWEET rig. However, at 65' make sure you check the laws of some states you pass through, you may be too long?

I know some have shorter limits, or something or other. IIRC another member here (84scrambler maybe?) said a long time ago he had a setup that pushed the limits on length?

I pulled a double for a couple years with my buggy behind my fifth wheel and a crew cab dually. I was actually about a foot over the limit, never was bothered Michigan to Florida. Like you said plan ahead and look for those pull thrus and you will be alright. you may have to swing wide and scare a few old ladies while parking but if you take your time you'll get in.

Thanks for all the compliments, I really couldn't be happier with it!!! Not sure if I'm more excited or my 3yr old daughter, had to leave room for her powerwheels Jeep....and for my sons when he gets old enough.

Have you ever thought of taking the fender trim off the camper and filling in the bottom where the wheel openings used to be? And do you have any idea on the total height. I was going to ask about weight, but you said you were going to go get it weighed this week.

Also, I honestly don't know how much luck you're going to have with even getting into campgrounds. By all means, try....but Wal-Mart parking lots might be your best bet. I remember growing up with my folks, watching guys with the 40 and 42' 5'ers not being able to get into a lot of parks and just move around the aisles, let alone park. By all means though man, if you can swing it, post up which parks you find.

NICE WORK!
Campgrounds won't be that bad, I haven't been to one looking back that I would worry about fitting into....I just won't be getting the tent sites anymore

I know that you are not going to be camping too much locally, but I can not think of any state, or private, campground that this would fit in around here. Don't get me wrong, that thing is awesome and hopefully you find the right parks and enjoy it. GREAT JOB!

About 12k-12.5k, but I'll hit the scales on Friday to verify that.

65' is legal in all states for non-commercial, commericial is where it gets tricky depending on the state it ranges from something like 65-73ish

nice, no matter what we do someone will come up and do something bigger, better, etc. We were kicking around doing a popup on a trailer, looked at smaller campers but decided we should just do it right the first time and not have to do it again until the kids get thrown out into a tent in about 10-12 years.....then we'll get a nice 5th wheel with one of those big living rooms in the back and multiple slide outs, saw one at the Northwood Autoshow, OMG they don't give those away, $70k later!!!

If I had more $$ I'd jump all over those, but they aren't cheap. I'm going to run it the way it is for a season at least and see if we "need" more storage.

It's a 1999 32' with a 20' enclosed behind it. I really don't have anything to complain about but I had to poke you. But you, Dar, Tab and Pat have all gone a REALLY NICE step up in the last 2 months.
