Default Dodge RAM 1500 Suspension Upgrade

I have a 2007 Dodge RAM 1500 and would like to upgrade the suspension. I drive mostly on the highway, but also take it up North several times a year. I want to rebuild the suspension to achieve better handling, but would also like something good for offroading. I was looking at the Rancho leveling kit, but I want to make sure I am getting something that will perform, not just give me a lifted "look". Currently I am running stock 20's with Wranglers, but I am going to buy a second set of rims and tires for up North. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
DM
