man what a long drive!!! left saturday afternoon and we just got back yesterday around noon. 2300 mile drive strait threw. was a epic trip and could not of had 3 better guys to make the trip with.everything went smooth.no blown tires.had to change an alternator on the truck and that was the only issue we had.moab is a cool town, vegas is just crazy and is getting stupid exspensive. 30 bucks just to get into a strip bar.8 bucks for a beer at a club. was a blast though.
would recommend this race to anyone.if your into the sport you need to see johnson valley during this event!!

Good Times!!! long way to go but so worth it. the caliber of trucks was off the charts. talked to allot of people "not shure the count at this year event". sooo much different then Northen Mi., felt like you were on the moon. Dust, still choking on the dust $14.00 for a shot an redbull in Vagus ouch! thanks to Mike, Erin an Jimmy for driving, watch out for our new movie in the summer of 2012 " the Way Of The Road " loosely based on the life of an X motor cross champ turned 4x4 pro will post pic at some point, sat at back door all day,, wow!! was there some heckling going on there, was surprised at all the winching going on and some of the silly mistakes. pressure must have gotten to them our something. loved it when the laddie copilot flipped off the crowed I really felt for her

i absolutely love that there are no "barriers" between you and the race but people need to realize that these guys are racing and you need to give them room. I was at a WEROCK event and warned some people to move , they were in the final gate and the driver had 20 seconds to finish the course, he came flying down the last obstacle in reverse and landed right where the people were standing.

not bitching,

but if you go to an event like this, be smart, id hate for this to turn into "Monster Jam" style event with concrete barriers and remote kill switches..

actually this year was the 1st year that they did have barriers. yes it was only twine or caution tape. the night video is from non racing times where the drunks head over to backdoor and party all night. but the BLM made them have a minimium distance between the racers and the fans. in years past the fans would literally stand on your rig if it was sitting for to long. just look up on youtube koh 2010 sledge hammer. you will see how close they got. this year seemed much more controlled from the videos i have seen. but i wasnt there.

at back door it was very well run and safe. still think if you have a clevis at the end of a tow strap your looking for trouble, the winch rope brakes and the strap slings back with the hook. I know the rope is safer then cable, but it sure breaks allot
this was a great event!! plan on going to the RCQ in May see ya there!

Love the boos from the crowd As I edit the video that was taken, I got to say, Mike did a great job, you guys were right on top of the action at back door, much better than the live feed! Enjoyed the live feed at the time, but now I know what I really missed. Thanks Mike, will post some when done editing.

Here you go for now. I have to finish this DVD, I have over 2 hours and 30 minutes of kick ass raw footage from their trip. Will try and post some other clips but for now you'll have to suck on this...
