I do run outside during the winter and it can be expensive. Try Marshalls or TJ Max...I get alot of Under Armour there cheap.

After spending a small fortune, I believe I am ready for the cold weather! haha.

This was my latest purchase, now I finally have a hard shell for the rain days:

I hate running in the rain. I just do some serious cardio like jumping rope on rain days.

You are a true warrior sir!

2010 Detroit Half Marathon in 1:58:32, not amazing, but I just started running back in march. We're setting up a team for the Great Lakes Relay. Anybody else who is doing it, lemme know!

I've just gotten into running in the past few months. I try to get in 2-4 miles m/w/f/s/s if I can. Some weeks it doesn't work out when I get home at 8p from work, but if i'm home by 6 or so I get some running in. I was nervous about going out in the dark, but it's not horrible - just not many well lit areas by me in MD.

I think once I get back to school in January, I'm gonna try to use our school's track or run on campus after classes in the afternoon. I also REALLY want to get into some sort of regular schedule with working out using our facilities on campus, since the are free afterall with tuition.

I just need to find some sort of schedule or routine I can adhear too for working out...

Got a 4 mile run in tonight. Dressed just right, cold running into the wind for the first mile and then the next 3 were perfect. Avg, 8:23 mm. Run my friends...

I got the outdoor running gear and gave it a go last year. I am not a winter outdoor runner and the JCC has the best indoor track.

Today will be my first run with snow on the ground, plus it's like 25* out. The coldest I have run in has been 32*. 8 Mile run today, giving me a total of 22 miles for the week.

At the local sporting good stores, and the running specific places (Playmakers in lansing is Great, Running Fit in Novi and Jackson are okay) you can buy little rubber bands with studs on them to help you maintain traction on slippery side walks.

Also, check out the new Kinvara light weight racers by Saucony. I just bought some a few weeks ago and LOVE THEM.

I got in about 8.75 this morning in the nice cold weather. I love running this time of year... Since we're posting up routes, here's mine: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=4184834

Last week a buddy convinced me to sign up for the Bayshore half this upcoming may and I have not run more than 6 miles in probably 5 years... I have to get used to running in the cold quickly!

Old post but I'll bump it. Livingston County (Howell, Brighton Area) doesn't have a running club. Well. The season is about to open up so I started one. www.HowlRunning.Forumotion.com so far I'm like the only member. Join me! There is beer there.
