I had fun! Next time I'll finish...

Maybe someone should orchestrate a GL4X4 comp someplace....that would be fun.

Yup, family time the past few days, but I did get a new to me set of GT40 heads, ordered a automatic ecu and put that new fuel pump in. The heat has been brutal, maybe ill get something more substantial done in the next few days.

Throttle cable mount, pretty much stock mustang, even the cable.

Got my new ecu today, put it in and its running rough. I gotta bring it to Adam to check it all out. It runs great cold, but when it switches into open loop it starts running bad, erratic. I can feel it switch over, gotta be something I'm missing.

GOtta be something simple like a ground or bad connection or something simple just hidden. Not sure if this will help at all but what the hell it never hurts.

If you can actually feel it running rough as it warms up I would look at your Temp sensor for the ecm. Maybe replace it or double check that the wiring is good. That is the only sensor the ecm goes by to switch over to closed loop.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to look st that one. I went out this morning, reset the timing, adjusted my idle and reset the tps and it ran great. Took it down the road and it was good for a little, then started missing a bucking, got so bad I could barley park it was stalling and running so rough. Went and started it back up about an hour later and it ran good again. Gonna pull the codes, maybe swap some parts around.

I'm pretty sure my old ecu was bad, my tps wouldn't work as is so I jumped a ground to make it work. With the new ecu I removed the jumper and it still works. I'm sure I have a bad sensor at this point.

Pulled codes, got one for the ect sensor. Checked resistance on it at different temps and to me it looked all in range. Got a maf code too, cleaned it but I don't know if it helped or not. I have always had the maf code, guess ill start there.

Ever try to clock the MAF in a different spot, I've heard sometimes they won't pickup the right reading if not clocked different.
Probably not the issue but worth a try.
