It is 1.660 OD or something like that. It is 1.250 structural pipe.
So what size die are you using then? I take that structural pipe is a lot cheaper than hrew? I hope so, I've been pricing out an exo and they use up a lot of tube!

I have a 180* die for the pipe. Yes, it was way cheaper. I have just over $200 into tube, about 126' of it. I figure with an exo, the cab and the cage together will be strong enough to not have to be dom or hrew.

Remember that you're going to have to weld the entire assembly off of the vehicle. The tighter you get everything, the more "help" it's going to need to get it back into place after final weld

You sound like you have been a victum of welding twist in the past.

Kyle, when you finish weld, just weld an 1/8th of an inch at a time and let it fully cool. Shouldn't take you more then three years to finish it.

There may be a reason some exo cages have gaps to the body

Stopped building the cage, put the fenders back on after I primered them and went wheeling. Was a good time, broke out a marker light but other than that no problems. It ran better too, not perfect, but better
