why not get a manual 1356 and a divorsed 203 or 205 and just make a short shaft for in between.

1356 does not fit well between the frame rails on the rangers/explorers/b2s. As well the 1356 will not simply bolt up to a ranger transmission.

Alright, decided to put my time to some use today. Did it write up style since I had the camera out with me...

Swapped out my tail lights today for some euros I had laying around. I used them before but the always fogged up and looked like ass so I decided to tint them, maybe they will look better if you can't see the ass.

So here are my original tails, then see my temp fix to get home. Zip ties FTW

and their replacements

cleaned them up with some wax and grease remover to prepare them for this

after 2 coats

a little dry time, and now installed, pure pimp

And I also had another problem yesterday, I have(had) a super ghetto fabed CAI on my truck to miss my shock hoop. Any way, I epoxied a cone filter to the MAF and it worked fine until yesterday when sometime the filter fell off. My truck started idling funny went and took a look and the filter was gone.

SO I dug up the other filter I had and decided to make it attach to my MAF a little less ghetto, here is how I did it.

I decided to cut the flange off the MAF, it looked like that if I took that off the filter could clamp right to it. So out came the cutting wheel and I went to town

then I cleaned it up a little

Filter mounted

mounted on the truck, finished

I am happy with it, took me 5 min to do and cost me nothing. Keep in mind this is a temp setup untill I get a different intake.

Picked up something cool.....

Thanks Kennyoffroad!

Now I just gotta figure how it comes apart! I got the stub shaft out so at least I can bring it to work with me and get started on making a one piece, but hell if I can figure out how the rest comes apart! I will figure it out!

Plan is to shorten my radius arms and move my crossmember forward, prolly make a new one, so I have room for the doubler...right now my crossmember is right in the way. I'm not gonna start on this project for a while yet, still have some wheelin trips I want to go on.

Check the write up on TRS? Thats the doubler from the write up itself.

ALright, did a little snow wheeling today, got about 10" last night figured I would put it to use. Sorry for the crappy quality, cell is all I had

Truck did great, love the tires, they dig nicely. Now I have a new problem, with snow wheeling come tire spin, and with the tire spin comes axle wrap, and I have a lot of it in the back. Plan is when I swap my explorer axle in is to build some sort of anti wrap bar to double as a drive shaft guard.

Also, I want to get a new box to cut up and make nice since mine is so wasted...anyone have any leads on one I could get for a reasonable price? Thanks

If this is the case, then why don't I meet you at your place that morning with my diesel and my trailer and load up the ranger and relax in the crew cab to rocks/valleys and back......

Alright, went wheeling yesterday, thanks Kenny!! Got to test the winch out a few times...and I finally found an issue(knew it would be eventually) but I poped my front drive shaft out, time for a long travel slip or just limit the droop, or both. Funny cus I was just talking earlier about how it hasn't been an issue yet.....jinxed myself! I was climbing a hill and I caught some air going up it, came down and heard flop flop flop...looked out and saw no tire spin, but it was an easy fix.

My truck broke...

my buddy freezing, fixing it for me

So on to the temporary solution

I have never checked how much engagement I have in my front shaft, it just never gave me any issues until now. But after seeing it apart I saw I had very little and since I pushed my axle forward about 1.5" I almost need to lengthen it too. Plan is to make a new one when I do the doubler so I just need something to work now. So I was in the garage and just happened to have a couple front shafts laying next to each other, one out a Ranger, the other out of and Explorer.

bottom one is the Explorer one, the top one is the Ranger one. Notice a difference between them?? I did...

the explorer slip area is about 1.5" longer. So my plan is to swap the front slips around and hopefully I will extend my shaft about 1.5", which will give me more engagement and should be a good temp solution until I limit it and build a new shaft. Here is the shaft on my truck as it sits now
