Hardcore trail rigs don't have heat For the heater core you can add one of those flush/fill tee's with the screw on cap on it if you have an issue. The heater core should be low enough though, both of mine have been, they are on an "extra loop" in the system and don't seem to affect flow much at all. However, a return hose that is 1.5" ID that is too high will.

I found this out the hardway...........

WOW!!! Its the simple things that will get you.

I'm not hard core....I still want to DD my truck

I guess I will fix the issues as they come. Guess I will make a new upper hose to lower it down. It is the factory mustang hose and it sits about level with the radiator cap, but it has room to move down so I will just do it. The heater core is in the same relationship as it was with the old 4.0 so it should be fine I guess, hose size must play into that not being an issue??

Thanks for the input

My exhaust is done, looks great. Might be a little loud, have to get it running right then sort that out. It has the cast manifolds into a 2" y pipe, then into a 3" pipe, with a 3" dynomax bullet muffler then dumped right after that.

You most certainly CANNOT be hard core then. Of those items all I have is a top. I started with doors, glass, and wipers - trail obstacles have since removed those for me. A radio is overrated except for mall crawling...all I need is that sweet rumble a BBF makes. Heat would be nice I guess, but no doors and windows seem to defeat the purpose...meh

Well, wrapped up all my wiring for the most part, put in my O2 sensors. It runs pretty good now, just the bullet muffler is WAY too loud, like drag car loud, dint even sound good lol. Gotta get a different muffler in the 3" size and see how I can make it fit, maybe mod it to fit??

My mechanical oil pressure gauge reads no pressure, I was thinking it might be pinched or something, but then I thought I heard the motor ticking so I am gonna look into that next. I was thinking the remote filter might have something to do with it.

Get a dynomax super turbo. That is what i currently have on the bronco, Terry also had them on his ranger. They are rated to be the quietest and best flowing muflers.
